Leona’s Grade 7 Grad Photos

Friday, July 29th, 2011

I was super excited when Leona’s mom, Brenda, got in touch with me and asked me if I would be interested in doing portraits of Leona on the day of her grade 7 grad. I think there is something very special about this time in a child’s life, when they are on the cusp of becoming a teenager and growing up. I love how at some moments they are like a little girl and at others so grown up. I met Leona and Brenda at Leona’s school for the photo session. We walked to this beautiful little park that is right beside the school where Leona has spent a lot of time playing. It is absolutely gorgeous in that little ravine, with a beautiful wooden fence and lots of tall grass. We walked up and down the little creek with Leona showing me some of her favourite spots there. Doesn’t Leona look absolutely stunning? She styled her outfit herself. She obviously takes after her mom who owns one of my favourite stores, Riot Clothing.

Thank you, Brenda & Leona, for a super fun photo session. Congratulations on your graduation, Leona!

Little Duncan’s First Photo Shoot

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011

We were super excited to get to meet little Duncan, Candace & Dylan’s newborn baby boy. We went over to their house so that Roger could capture some photos of this adorable little guy. Duncan was a premature baby and he was one month old when Roger  created these images. Isn’t he the cutest with his rolly polly elbows and his oodles of hair? It is so special for us to have captured Candace & Dylan’s wedding and to know have photographed another important milestone in their life together.

Congratulations, Candace & Dylan, on the arrival of your little one. We are so so happy for you.
