Those of you who know us from Union Photographer’s know that our first love (apart from each other) has always been wedding photography. Recently, however, we’ve been delighted to discover that our shared passion for wedding photography has given birth to a new love. More and more, couples whose engagements and weddings we photographed – have been returning for maternity, newborn and baby portraits. So much so, in fact – that bellies and babies have become both a significant part of our business, and – a genuine labour of love. In recognition we’ve decided to formally introduce a new member of the Union Photographer’s family – our maternity, baby and family portrait studio – The Labour Union.
The hallmark of a Labour Union maternity, newborn, baby or family portrait session will be familiar to anyone who knows our wedding work. We capture every session from two unique points of view in two distinctly different – yet complimentary – styles. Roger’s careful attention to detail produces timeless images that inevitably become cherished family keepsakes – while Holly’s documentary approach – faithfully records the intimate moments behind the scenes.
The result is much more than a portrait session, it’s an enduring record of a precious and fleeting moment in your growing families life.
Here are some of the things that we love besides each other and taking pictures:
We love to be goofy to make each other laugh.
We love to go on adventures even when we end up on an unexpected hike in a Cambodian jungle in crazy heat.
We love to try new things even Soba noodles from hell (which was delish)!
We love to dance.
We love to meet new people.
We love to play board games on our balcony even though Roger doesn’t like to lose to Holly! (Heehee!)
We love warming our toes in the sunshine especially when we are on a
Holly loves to paint and Roger loves playing poker.
We love love love to travel.
We love having fun together and celebrating this joyful life.
