Maëlle & Cole & co on a sunny afternoon

Remember little Maëlle? Well she just keeps on getting cuter the bigger that she gets. Maëlle’s aunt, Courtney, had a baby, little Cole,  just a few weeks after Maëlle was born. I think it is really special that Julie, Maëlle’s mom,  and her sister Courtney had babies so close together and that they are able to share their journey into motherhood together. (Have I confused you yet with all the names and family connections?)

I’ve been wanting to do a photojournalist family photo session for a while so I asked these two lovely families if I could hang out with them one afternoon and capture some photos. I met up with them in Courtney & Chris’ backyard where they were enjoying some drinks and spending time together. I had a great hour with everyone, their joy is infectious. Maëlle and Cole are crazy cute.  I think the photos turned out great too. I enjoyed working on creating something different, that is not your typical family photos.

Thank you Julie, Randy, Maëlle, Courtney, Chris & Cole, for an enjoyable afternoon. Hope to see you all again soon!

I love how Cole matches the logo on Chris’ shirt with his big eyes.

Only sisters can giggle like that. Love it!

Caden’s 1st Birthday

We had the adorable &  fiesty little man, Caden, and his parents in the studio for Caden’s 1st birthday photo session. It is hard to believe how fast time flies and that Caden has grown up so much already. Anita & Eldwin brought along a cake for Caden to smash up which was absolutely hilarious and messy! Thank you, Anita, Eldwin & Caden, for having us help capture your memories of little Caden in his first year.

Mmmm cake!

Yay! I get to make a mess!

Hurray for icing and cake everywhere!

Happy Birthday, Caden! It’s hard to believe that just a year ago you were this tiny:

Even Bigger Caden

We were delighted to see the squishable cute Caden again and his parents, Anita & Eldwin, for a portrait session. Now 8 months old, we couldn’t get over how much Caden had grown since we saw him last.  Thanks, Anita, Eldwin & Caden for a great session. We can’t wait until next time! Hopefully Caden will be walking!

Caden’s expression in this photo makes me laugh.

Anita’s parents were visiting so it was really nice to get a family photo.

Sometimes the little ones don’t feel like smiling in photos so everyone starts doing this behind the camera.

(I apologize for the blurriness, I was laughing too hard!)

But it works, right Caden?
